Finding Connection and Calm Through Art — Our New Monthly Art Therapy Workshop Series

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to lose touch with ourselves — to move from one task to another without pausing to reflect on how we truly feel. Our new Art Therapy Workshop Series in Taipei was created to offer a gentle pause — a space where creativity becomes a bridge between inner reflection and connection with others.

Each month, participants gather for a two-hour session centered on self-expression, emotional awareness, and stress relief through artmaking. Using colors, textures, and creative play, the workshops invite participants to express thoughts and emotions that might be hard to put into words. You don’t need to be an artist — only open to exploring what art can reveal about your inner world.

Beyond the artmaking itself, the workshops foster social connection and group support. Many participants come from Taiwan’s international community, where adjusting to a new culture can sometimes feel isolating. The sessions, led in English, provide a warm and inclusive environment where people can share experiences and find comfort in creative companionship.

Each small group (up to 10 participants) is guided through reflective activities that encourage mindfulness, imagination, and appreciation for the simple joy of creating. Over time, we hope to expand the series to welcome more participants — and to continue growing a community built on empathy, creativity, and the healing power of art.

The Art Therapy Workshop Series is part of the Tang and Gau Global Foundation’s mission to promote personal growth, cross-cultural connection, and community wellbeing. Whether you’re seeking relaxation, emotional clarity, or a sense of belonging, we invite you to join us each month in Taipei and experience how art can quietly reconnect you with yourself and others.
