We host the screening of Asian films to celebrate the rich and diverse cinematic heritage of Asian cultures. Our commitment to promoting cultural exchange and understanding drives us to bring captivating films from various Asian countries to the local community.

We also hold inclusive and diverse forums, where individuals of all backgrounds come together to engage in meaningful discussions and foster a sense of community.

“BIG”: Screening & Talk

Directed by the renowned Taiwanese filmmaker Wei Te-Sheng, "BIG" is a poignant and uplifting tale set in a pediatric oncology ward. In the film, a group of children bravely confront life-threatening illnesses. As these children, alongside their families and hospital staff, navigate the complexities of diagnosis and treatment, they discover the strength found in community and support. Through shared experiences, the families discover solace and resilience in their collective journey. With its heartfelt depiction, "BIG" delivers a touching narrative of courage, hope, and the unwavering endurance of the human spirit in the face of adversity.

We are hosting the free screening of “BIG”, and also the post-screening talk given by the director, Wei Te-Sheng! Complimentary lunch boxes will be provided. Please feel welcome to join us and register for our main screening at 7838 Wilkerson Ct., San Diego 92111 on Sunday March 9th, 2024 at 4pm.

"On Happiness Road" Screening

We hosted the free screening of “On Happiness Road,” a touching Taiwanese film that explores themes of identity, family, and the pursuit of happiness. Through the protagonist’s journey, the movie captures the essence of Taiwanese culture while balancing humor and poignant moments. Our goal in holding this film screening was to promote cross-cultural understanding and provide an inclusive space for the Bay Area community to experience the richness of Taiwanese cinema.

Kendu Creativity Workshop

Step into the captivating world of animation with Davy Liu, a renowned former Disney animator who brings his extensive insider knowledge from working on iconic films such as The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Mulan. In this immersive workshop, Davy Liu shares his invaluable insights, techniques, and experiences, taking participants on an exciting journey through the creative process behind these beloved animated classics. From character design and storytelling to animation principles and visual development, Davy Liu’s workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn from a master animator and gain a deeper understanding of the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into crafting unforgettable animated films.
